The Forum
A forum on the ownership ofexceptional assets.
An evening in Jersey for the island’s private-wealth and fiduciary community. This edition examines private motor assets and private aviation.
The Argument
A motor car or an aircraft is simultaneously a market asset, a chattel, an insurance risk, a tax position and, eventually, an estate problem. Advisers rarely see the market side; specialists rarely see the structure. Each panel is built at that intersection rather than on one side of it.
Luxury and collectible assets are held widely among private clients and understood narrowly. The Forum exists to close that gap: to put the advisers responsible for structures, tax, risk and succession in direct conversation with the specialists who value, insure, store, finance and sell these assets.
The Forum's remit spans many asset categories. Jersey 2027 focuses on private motor assets and private aviation, one panel each. Fine art, yachts, wine, watches, property, insurance, valuation, storage and collectibles are carried by future editions.
The cost of getting these assets wrong is concentrated and late: an unsupportable valuation, a policy that does not respond, an ownership structure that complicates a sale, or an estate that cannot be divided.

The shape of the evening.
Thursday, 18th March 2027, 4:30pm–8:30pm. Two chaired 45-minute panels, with networking before, between and afterwards.
Private Motor Assets
Market depth and authenticity, restoration records, the treatment of a collection held across generations, and the structures that decide whether a sale is straightforward or not.
Private Aviation
Acquisition, fractional and whole ownership, operating structures and the cross-border regulation that follows an asset which moves between jurisdictions by design.
Four hours, one room, two panels and generous networking.

Practitioners with client responsibility.
Attendance is by invitation and selection. Numbers are held low so sessions remain useful.
Jersey Context
Held where the advisory community already is.
Jersey’s international finance centre supports a dense population of trustees, family offices, private banks, law firms and accountancy practices working with internationally mobile clients. Convening on the island means the room is made up of practitioners rather than delegates who have travelled to be marketed to.
